“The Entertainment Capital of the World” is drawing crowds. In the past few years the city has seen several mega resorts go up and the skyline of the famous strip is changing. In 2007, almost 40 million people were witness to these events.
The number of people that decide to make Las Vegas their home is growing as well. Las Vegas is the largest city in Nevada and is one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States. Between 2000 and 2006, the Las Vegas metropolitan area population more than tripled, growing from 478,434 to an estimated 1,777,539. The primary drivers of the Las Vegas economy have been the union of tourism, gaming, and conventions. However, city and county officials have made a concerted effort to diversify the economy by working to attract light manufacturing, banking, and other commercial interests. The result of these efforts is a significant increase in businesses that have also decided to call Las Vegas home.
Where you find thriving businesses, you will also find the Business Analysts that play a large part in that success. According the to City of Las Vegas, the number one fastest growing occupation in Las Vegas is Network Systems and Data Communication Analysts.
